Hi everyone! We have been working on an inquiry in Mahi Tahi.

My inquiry is on the Philippines. Here is what I have so far.

Q1. What is the most common vehicle in the Philippines?
A1. The most common vehicle in the Philippines is the jeepney. The Jeepney was a military jeep but was enhanced with a longer rear end was added so more people can fit in it. The jeepney has many modern differences like air conditioned jeepneys, wifi jeepneys,  jeepneys that have TVs in them, jeepneys that have longer rears to fit more people and there is the smallest jeepney in the world called the jeepito.
Q2. What does the flag stand for?
A2. The eight-rayed sun symbolizes the first eight provinces (Manila, Cavite, Batangas, Bulacan, Laguna, Pampanga, Tarlac, Nueva Ecija) that stood against the Spanish. (When the spanish ruled over the Philippines). The three stars stand for the 3 main island groups Visayas, Mindanao and Luzon.The blue part of the flag stands for peace, justice and truth. The white triangle stands for liberty, equality, and fraternity. The red part stands for l red stripe for patriotism and courage.
Q3. Has the Philippines had a revolution? If so who led them to victory?
A3. The Philippines has had a revolution. They had it when the Spanish ruled over the Philippines. Andrés Bonifacio led the The Katipunan. (which fought against the Spanish). The Katipunan was a military group of rebels that repelled the Spanish from the Philippines.
Q4. What are the different languages in the Philippines.
A4. There are a few different languages in the Philippines. The languages are: Bikol, Cebuano, Hiligaynon, Ilocano, Kapampangan, Pangasinan, and Waray. But the main languages that is spoken are Tagalog and English.
Q5. How is the road different from New Zealand.
A5. The road is very different from New Zealand over half of the road over in the Philippines is only dirt and gravel. Over here it is tar, tar seal and some are gravel.
